ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

Please read the entrance requirements fully before filling out the questions to the best of your ability. 

Only practitioners who meet the requirements will be contacted for an interview. 

1.  A medical degree (MD, RN), a graduate degree (MA, Ph.D.) in psychology, counselling psychology, or a closely related field (e.g., psychiatric social work [RSW] or psychiatric nursing [RPN]), naturopathic medicine (ND), paramedicine (e.g., paramedics, first responders), death doula training, or a graduate diploma in a related field;

2. Current good standing as a professional member of a provincial clinical counseling or psychotherapy association having a Code of Ethics and a disciplinary body;

Requirements 1 and 2 above may be relaxed to allow those in the process of completing a graduate clinical degree or professional registration, and credentialed spiritual/

pastoral counsellors to attend a seminar in situations where a cohort is short one or two fully qualified clinical entrants prior to delivery.

Preference will be given to applicants who already have some personal or professional psychedelic experience;

Preference will be given to those with palliative care experience;

Each applicant will be admitted to the training program following a successful interview with the Director of Training and Operations to assess personal and professional suitability.

UNDERSTANDING THE APPLICATION PROCESS

Application Fee: Your first application is free. A $100 administrative fee will be charged to you if you choose to switch cohorts or re-apply in the future. 

Admission: The determination of acceptance is at the full discretion of TheraPsil.

Interview Process: If you meet the eligibility criteria, you will be contacted via email within 1-3 business days to schedule an interview with a TheraPsil team member. The purpose of this call is to ensure a mutual fit for this program, and will be no longer than 30 minutes. Rescheduling must be done 48 hours prior, if you miss your interview or fail to reschedule, you will need to resubmit your application. Deposit/Registration: Once accepted, you may secure your spot with a $1,000 deposit, through full registration, or our payment plan options. Full registration is required 12-weeks prior to training to grant access to all pre-training materials. Deposits do not provide access to the Training Portal. Deposits are non-refundable.

TheraPsil reserves the right to cancel a training cohort and refund trainee deposits or registration in full if we do not have a minimum of 6 people registered for the cohort.

Payment Policy: Due to our organization's size and capacity, we follow a strict Training Payment Policy. Before proceeding with any payments please ensure you have read and thoroughly understand this document.
